Galešnjak is a small, uninhabited island that reveals itself as a heart-shaped paradise when viewed from above, earning it a romantic reputation and the nickname Love Island. We’ll take it as proof that sometimes all you need is a shift in perspective to find the bright side of things.

The Federseesteg at dawn near Bad Buchau, Baden-Württemberg, Germany Morning mood at the lake The Federsee near Bad Buchau is located in the middle of a large moor area, so access to the open water is not easily possible.  Thanks to the Federseesteg, walkers can reach the water with dry feet.  It leads from Bad Buchau's edge over a length of 1.5 kilometers through scattered meadows and reed landscape to the lake shore and ends at a viewing platform in the lake. With an area of ​​1.4 square kilometers, the Federsee is Baden-Württemberg's second largest lake and is protected together with the surrounding moor area.  The variety of plant and bird species is unique.  A visit to the Federsee museum in Bad Buchau is recommended.  Finds of prehistoric pile dwellings and replicas of bog villages can be viewed there.

Migratory birds are reliable frequent flyers who set off at the same time each year to fly approximately the same distance.  In search of food and water sources, the birds often fly long distances to reach breeding areas or wintering places.  Today is an important stopover for migratory birds: Lake Salton, the largest lake in California. This shallow salt lake was formed when a dam broke in 1905 and the Colorado River flowed into an approximately 56 km long basin with extensive salt deposits.  Today it attracts hundreds of bird species in what is considered one of the most important concentrations of bird life in mainland America. Pointe de Pen-Hir and the Breton monument of Free France on the Crozon peninsula, Brittany La Breizh!.  It smells of spring and Brittany Looking at this picture, you can almost feel the fresh Breton wind sweeping our face, as much as it sweeps the tall grass and wild flowers of this steep coast.  In ten days, spring will be here again but, as we wanted to get a little ahead, we offer this photo full of daisies, sea, blue sky and sea breeze. What you see here is the Pointe de Pen-Hir, located on the Crozon peninsula, in Brittany.  The stone structure that we see in the background is a monument commemorating the Bretons of free France, inaugurated by General de Gaulle in the 1960s. February 27 is International Polar Bear Day, an observance created to bring attention to the important role these alpha predators play in the Arctic ecosystem. Though polar bears aren’t endangered - their current conservation status is ‘vulnerable’ - these magnificent beasts have become a sort of mascot for the race to slow the melting of Arctic sea ice. "Dawn of Acadia National Park" Maine, USA Off the Atlantic Ocean, Mount Desert Island in Maine, USA, is surrounded by fjord coastlines and boasts rich forests and mountains.  The island became a national park 101 years ago today.  Today, it is a scenic spot visited by as many as 2 million people a year… This Acadia National Park is located in the state of Maine, bordering Canada and the easternmost point of the United States.  Cadillac Mountain, located east of the island, is the first place in the United States to see the morning sun and is also known as a famous spot for sunrise.
