The oldest national park in Romania is located in the high mountains of the Southern Carpathians.  In addition to numerous deep blue glacial lakes - such as Bucura Lake, which we see here - the protected area also has over 60 mountain peaks with a height of over 2,300 meters.  The Retezat National Park also serves to protect one of the last primary forests in Europe.  Many animals live here, including golden eagles, wolves and brown bears.  But the flora is also impressive: a third of all plant species found in Romania can be found in the park.

Pointe de Pen-Hir and the Breton monument of Free France on the Crozon peninsula, Brittany La Breizh!.  It smells of spring and Brittany Looking at this picture, you can almost feel the fresh Breton wind sweeping our face, as much as it sweeps the tall grass and wild flowers of this steep coast.  In ten days, spring will be here again but, as we wanted to get a little ahead, we offer this photo full of daisies, sea, blue sky and sea breeze. What you see here is the Pointe de Pen-Hir, located on the Crozon peninsula, in Brittany.  The stone structure that we see in the background is a monument commemorating the Bretons of free France, inaugurated by General de Gaulle in the 1960s. Fairy chimneys and cave dwellings in Uçhisar, Cappadocia, Turkey And to think that I saw it in Cappadocia The fantastical 'fairy chimneys' found in central Turkey's historic Cappadocia region were formed by a collision of the natural and the man-made - and they form a scene that seems straight out of a Dr. Seuss illustration. The landforms were created when volcanoes deposited mounds of soft, porous rock called tuff, which was later covered with hard basalt. In the 10th century (though possibly starting up to 5,000 years ago) humans excavated the tuff to create caves and catacombs that could fit thousands of dwellers. "Dawn of Acadia National Park" Maine, USA Off the Atlantic Ocean, Mount Desert Island in Maine, USA, is surrounded by fjord coastlines and boasts rich forests and mountains.  The island became a national park 101 years ago today.  Today, it is a scenic spot visited by as many as 2 million people a year… This Acadia National Park is located in the state of Maine, bordering Canada and the easternmost point of the United States.  Cadillac Mountain, located east of the island, is the first place in the United States to see the morning sun and is also known as a famous spot for sunrise. Source of the Mundo River, Sierra de Alcaraz, Albacete. The birth of the Rio Mundo is a show that you should not miss.  This tributary of the Segura sprouts hidden in the Albacete mountain range of Alcaraz thanks to an underground aquifer of karst origin that emerges abruptly and is then torn up by a cliff of almost 300 meters.  This is what we show you today in our photograph and it is between the towns of Vianos and Riopar, in the natural park of the Calares del Mundo and Sima.  If you want to go see it, you should know that in the nearest car park there is only room for 100 cars and on weekends it is usually crowded, so early in the morning if you do not want to queue. The River Mundo is not named for the noun "world" of the Latin "mundus", but for the adjective of the same language that means "clean", as opposed to "unclean."  Its groundwater flows from a cave that is still to be explored, since to date only 30 kilometers of the 60...

Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. Happy Presidents Day It's hard to imagine a more appropriate place to celebrate Presidents Day than here, at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The monument features four of the most famous American presidents—George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Four hundred workers using dynamite, hammers, and chisels crafted these 60-foot-high sculptures out of the granite mountainside in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Work on the monument began in 1927 and was completed in 1941.

The Callanish Stones, Isle of Lewis, at sunset. The 5,000 years old Callanish Stones are standing tall in the west coast of Lewis, Scotland.   The monoliths rows stretch in a form of a circle. ultimately  shape into a rudimentary cross. The center  is occupied with a tomb which is guarded by these stones. The 12 feet tall mysterious Lewisian Gneiss have yet to reveal their secret. The fictional Craigh na Dun from the famous series Outlander is inspired by the Callanish Stones of Isle of Lewis. The site of the stones is open for the visitors and people come here and touch these stones to know the tales behind them. You will hear a number of tales about the stones whenever you have a chance to visit them.
