An interesting fact that zebras can walk within 20 minutes of being born, but they still need help from mum. For the first two days after the foal is born, the mother will keep it close by and limit contact with other zebras, so the foal gets to know her by sight, smell and sound. Over the next year, the foal will follow its mother, learning what to eat, where to migrate in the dry and rainy seasons, and how to avoid predators. Those might not be the exact skills your mum taught you, but she surely played a part in your survival and growth - so be sure to wish her a happy Mother's Day today.

“Celebrating Women Police” Haiti, Potoprus County Look at their smile! These women serving in UN-Stabilization Mission in Haiti. Today is International Women's Day.  It was enacted by the United Nations in 1975 to commemorate a demonstration for women's suffrage in New York on this day of 1904.  In Italy it is a day when women give each other mimosas ... Women has set their presence in every field of life. They bare every challenge with a smile on their faces. If you don't believe this, look at the woman in the labor room, bearing her child, suffering with pain but full of power and love.  Women's smiles are universal across different the world.

The Joan of Arc Monument at Riverside Park in Manhattan Joan charges Riverside Park! Sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington was unusual for her era - a successful female artist. In 1910, she first exhibited a version of her Joan of Arc statue at the Salon in Paris, a prestigious art exhibition dating from the 1600s. But she only earned honourable mention because the exhibition’s judges didn’t think a woman working alone could create a sculpture of that magnitude. Paris’ loss is Manhattan’s gain, as the American city soon commissioned a new Saint Joan for display at Riverside Park. These kind of stories, we enjoy sharing on International Women’s Day. Here, the real conquerors are the women who have held their ground and remained invincible despite all the criticisms and objections.

Cumberland's Coastal Forest, Georgia, USA  Cumberland Island, Georgia, USA is rich in natural resources. Here you can find miles of unspoiled beaches, marine forests, and the remains of early island residents.  In the 1880s, Thomas Carnegie, the younger brother of steel king Andrew Carnegie, built the Dungeness mansion on the island, but now only ruins remain.  On Cumberland, you can also see herds of wild horses grazing near the ruins, the picture is very peaceful. Stubben Alberg, Austria This historic ski resort is Stubben Alberg, and the view of the village may be similar to what you imagine when reading "Historic Alpine Village".  Near the Alberg pass, this Austrian village is a must for ski enthusiasts.  This is also the birthplace of ski instructor Schneider, whose methods and skills spread throughout the world in the 20th century.

Otter Creek in winter in Brandon, Vermont Looking down on the Otter Otter Creek is the longest river entirely contained within the borders of Vermont and has been an important waterway since people settled in the area around 10,000 years ago. Originally an important trade route for the indigenous Abenaki, Algonquin, and Iroquois nations, it remained a vital part of the economy of the early European settlers up through the 19th century. It winds through some of the American Green Mountain state's most scenic towns, from Brandon to Middlebury to Vergennes, and empties into Lake Champlain. It is also the water source for more than one of Vermont’s many microbrew makers, including Otter Creek Brewery. A leafy seadragon in the waters off Wool Bay, Australia Australia’s southern coast is leafy seadragon territory, so it’s the place to go if you want to see the camouflaged critter in its native habitat. This amazing specimen was photographed near Wool Bay. The leafy seadragon has evolved to resemble seaweed as a way to fool predators. It’s a relative of the seahorse, but isn’t quite the swimmer that its cousin is, so the camouflage gives it a big advantage. (© Alex Mustard/Minden Pictures)

 The City of festivities and colors, Perth, Australia. If you're a travel junkie then it's that time of the year when you must visit Perth, the capital of Western Australia. The city is full of things that attract the tourists and provide a range of activities you will love to do here.  Perth is warm and sunny round the year, with cooling sea breezes in summer from December to February so mostly travelers visit during October–April. Perth is famous for its sandy beaches, the huge parks and the Botanic Garden, situated on the Mount Eliza which is a vantage point of the city.
