Croatia— Heaven On Earth

Aerial of Dugi Otok island in Croatia

It is also called Croatia's 'Long Island', Dugi Otok is indeed worthy of the nickname: At 27 miles long and three miles wide, it's one of the largest islands in the Adriatic Sea. Part of the serrated group of archipelagos off the Dalmatian coast, Dugi Otok is home to a number of small towns in the east and a scenic nature park, Telašćica, in the south. Our view here captures the contrast between the jade waters of Mir salt lake on the left and the sparkling cobalt blue of the Adriatic Sea on the right.
